Childcare
The CRC TR 224 offers (additional) emergency childcare to its members in Mannheim and Bonn:
As of the summer of 2020 a cooperation with kinderlandnet in Mannheim was established in order to secure an emergency childcare, in case regular childcare will temporarily not be available. The childcare in cooperation with kinderlandnet is offered in either Mannheim or Heidelberg depending on the parents’ location and preference. For general information about their childcare do not hesitate to take a look at their website beforehand.
In order to employ the service of kinderlandnet please contact them ([Email protection active, please enable JavaScript.]) and register your child. If you do so, please also contact the CRC office via mail ([Email protection active, please enable JavaScript.]). You are asked to register for emergency childcare at least one day prior before 6 pm. If you are thinking about taking up this offer, please make sure you are properly informed about their services beforehand.
Please note that due to the COVID-19 pandemic there is no possibility to stop by for a trial or introductory appointment at the moment. Nonetheless, kinderlandnet offers a virtual information service, further information are provided on their website. Please also contact them by either mail or phone regarding their current childcare services as they may change according to the most recent developments.

These childcare services are offered by the University of Bonn, but Bonn based CRC members have the possibility to increase their emergency childcare days. Also, please make sure to contact pme Familienservice to ask about their current childcare services as they may change in accordance with the legal instructions by the government (due to the pandemic).
